The forgotten part of upgrading your infrastructure - removing and disposing of your old redundant kit. Your latest service provider is busy racking up new switches, routers, servers or other equipment. You want to leave the old stuff in situ for a while longer, "just in case". So, three months, nine months, a year goes by. The stuff is still in there, it might even still be powered on! What happens next?
Ripping out old kit is a dirty job. Years of dust build up has made everything grubby and you just haven't got the time, the trainee can't be trusted in the comms room on his own just yet and your senior engineers are too busy keeping the wheels turning on your active equipment to spare a few hours tracing out patch leads and power supplies. So, we'll do it for you. It might just be a few old redundant servers, it might be completely vacating a building ready for the developers to move in. Don't waste your own time getting your hands dirty when we can do it for you.
We know our way around a server room, comms room or data centre. We know how to trace a patch lead without disconnecting your leased line access. We know about IT and telecomms.
Ultimately this is an extension of our Smart Hands service. Except it has the additional peace of mind that the disposal of any redundant equipment can be left to us as well. We have WEEE certified partners, as well as avenues for reuse (in some cases) or recycling. We take data privacy very seriously and ensure that any elements containing data (such as hard disk drives) are either left with you or destroyed.
Get in touch with us to see if we can help you free up your rack space!
